A community development organization built on cultural fluency, disciplined delivery, and a commitment to building communities with integrity.
Zahav — the Hebrew word for gold — was chosen deliberately. Gold has built civilizations, powered economies, and symbolized enduring value across cultures and centuries.
Zahav Capital works at the intersection of cultural identity, housing access, and economic empowerment. We saw three gaps that no single organization was addressing together: Orthodox Jewish communities without culturally fluent development partners, rural towns without developer interest, and community-based founders without access to capital or mentorship.
We're at the start of our journey — building our practice deal by deal, relationship by relationship, alongside the founding clients and partners who share our belief that communities deserve to be built with integrity.
To build thriving, self-sustaining communities through culturally sensitive development, affordable housing, and entrepreneurial empowerment.
To be the community development organization trusted by Orthodox Jewish communities and rural populations to deliver housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunity with integrity.
Transparent dealings with communities, partners, and funders alike — every step of the way.
Deep respect for Orthodox Jewish tradition and rural community identity in everything we deliver.
Measurable outcomes for people — not just profit. We track the change we create.
Professional-grade delivery in all we do, from planning liaison to cohort programs.
Long-term community benefit over short-term gain. We build things designed to last.
Our strength comes from the rabbinical networks, councils, and developers we work alongside.
Zahav Capital currently operates as a project under the fiscal sponsorship of Angels Wings Israel Foundation, an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
This is a common and trusted path for new mission-driven organizations. It means we operate under the legal and charitable umbrella of our fiscal sponsor — giving communities, councils, and grant funders confidence, enabling tax-deductible charitable contributions and grant eligibility, and letting us focus our energy on serving clients rather than waiting on paperwork.
In parallel, Zahav Capital is working toward establishing its own independent organizational designation. Until then, our fiscal sponsorship ensures we can begin our work without delay.
We're transparent about our journey. Here's the path we're on.
Operating under fiscal sponsorship, opening our advisory practice, and welcoming our first founding clients across all three pillars.
Signing community retainers, submitting grant applications, launching our first incubator cohort, and building a developer partnership pipeline.
Growing a housing development portfolio, establishing our own designation, and scaling our impact across communities.
Whether you lead a community, a council, or a startup — our founding work begins with you.
